Terms of Use

Including subscription, review, deletion, Apple Photos, iCloud Photos, and App Store terms.

Effective Date: July 30, 2026

These Terms govern Clexta, an iOS photo and video review tool operated by Rovlid LLC. Clexta helps you inspect and organize media; you decide what to select and what to ask Apple Photos to delete.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your download, access, purchase, and use of the Clexta iOS application, clexta.com, and related features, content, tools, and services made available by Rovlid LLC (collectively, "Clexta" or the "Service").

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Clexta, you agree to these Terms and the Clexta Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use Clexta on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes both you and the organization.

2. Operator and Contact

Clexta is operated by Rovlid LLC, a Texas limited liability company.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Clexta. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Clexta only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

You may not use Clexta if applicable law, sanctions, an App Store restriction, or another binding rule prohibits you from doing so. You represent that you have legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

4. Definitions

Clexta ProThe paid entitlement that unlocks premium functionality described at the point of purchase, including eligible production deletion functionality.
Local App DataData stored by Clexta within its app container on your device, including indexes, review decisions, settings, job state, and recovery state.
MediaPhotos and videos available to Clexta through Apple Photos permission.
ReviewInspection, grouping, selecting, sorting, filtering, or placing media into a Clexta review queue. Review is not deletion.
Swipe Trash BasketClexta's internal queue for media marked during swipe review. It is not Apple's Recently Deleted album and does not itself delete media.
SubscriptionAn auto-renewable Apple App Store subscription that provides Clexta Pro access for the duration and price shown in the purchase flow.

5. The Clexta Service

Clexta is an iOS-first photo and video review tool designed to help you inspect, organize, and remove selected media from your Apple Photos library. It may present review surfaces for duplicates, visually similar photos, screenshots, videos, large media, swipe review, and other categories.

Clexta follows a review-before-delete model. Analysis, grouping, review, selection, confirmation, Apple Photos deletion, and result verification are separate stages.

We may add, modify, limit, rename, suspend, or remove categories, algorithms, workflows, subscription offerings, and supported devices when reasonably necessary for product development, reliability, security, legal compliance, or business operation.

6. What Clexta Is Not

Clexta is software that assists media review. It is not:

  • A cloud-backup, permanent storage, recovery, or archival service.
  • A guarantee that media can be recovered after Apple Photos deletes it.
  • A promise that Apple's Recently Deleted album will retain an item for any particular period.
  • A device RAM cleaner, malware scanner, security product, or general performance optimizer.
  • A photo editor, professional imaging evaluator, or guarantee of image quality.
  • An automatic deletion service that decides on your behalf what should be removed.
  • A service that manages, measures, or controls iCloud storage or iCloud Photos synchronization.

7. Photo Library Access

Clexta requires Apple Photos permission for core functionality. You may grant full access, limited access, deny access, or later modify permission in iOS Settings.

You authorize Clexta to inspect and process the portion of the photo library made available under your permission for the limited purpose of providing the Service. Permission to inspect media is not permission to delete it.

If permission is denied, limited, revoked, or changed, categories may be unavailable, incomplete, or reconciled. You are responsible for the permission settings on your device.

8. Local Processing and App Data

Clexta's core media analysis and review workflow is designed to run on your device. Local App Data may include media references, category memberships, duplicate or similar groupings, review decisions, selection state, Swipe Trash Basket membership, cleanup-job state, per-item outcomes, settings, onboarding state, continuity markers, and a cached entitlement snapshot.

Clexta does not provide access to Local App Data from another device and does not promise cloud synchronization of your review state. Device replacement, app removal, local reset, operating-system behavior, or data corruption may cause Local App Data to be lost or recreated.

9. Automated Grouping and Review Results

Clexta uses automated logic to group and present media. Duplicate analysis may rely on deterministic signals. Similar-photo analysis may rely on visual and metadata signals and is inherently approximate.

A category, similarity score, suggested item, or grouped result is not a representation that the media is identical, unnecessary, low quality, safely deletable, or suitable for deletion. Results may contain false positives, false negatives, outdated items, or incomplete groups.

Algorithms, thresholds, and category behavior may be changed to improve quality or reliability. You must independently review the actual media before requesting deletion.

10. Your Review Responsibilities

  • Review every selected item before confirming deletion.
  • Confirm that you own the media or are authorized to manage it.
  • Consider whether media appears in shared albums, synchronized libraries, backups, messages, projects, or other locations that may be affected by deletion.
  • Maintain any backup or archive you consider necessary before deleting media.
  • Do not rely solely on Clexta's grouping, thumbnail, estimate, score, or suggested selection.
  • Keep your device, iOS version, Apple Account, device passcode, and Apple Photos configuration secure.

11. Swipe Trash Basket

The Swipe Trash Basket is a Clexta review feature. Swiping or otherwise marking an item for the basket records a local review decision; it does not delete the item from Apple Photos.

An item can be removed from the Swipe Trash Basket before deletion. That action only changes Clexta's local queue membership. It does not restore media that has already been deleted through Apple Photos.

Clexta may impose review, allowance, or eligibility rules on Swipe features. These rules may change and do not create a right to permanent access to a particular workflow.

12. Deletion Through Apple Photos

A production deletion occurs only after you initiate the delete action, review the selected media, and provide the confirmations required by Clexta and Apple. Clexta then asks Apple Photos to perform the deletion.

Apple may display its own system confirmation, reject a request, report a partial result, delay a result, or treat an item as unavailable. Clexta does not bypass Apple Photos permission or platform controls.

The presence of an item in a Clexta category, selection, or queue is not evidence that it has been deleted. Purchase success, subscription restoration, returning from a paywall, reopening the app, or resuming an interrupted session does not by itself authorize Clexta to repeat a deletion.

Once you confirm a deletion request, you instruct Clexta to submit that request to Apple Photos. You remain responsible for the selected media and the consequences of deleting it, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be allocated to you.

13. iCloud Photos and Recently Deleted

Apple controls iCloud Photos, the Photos library, synchronization, Recently Deleted, recovery, and permanent deletion. If iCloud Photos is enabled, deleting media on one device may cause Apple to delete it from other devices that use the same synchronized library.

Apple may keep deleted media in Recently Deleted for a limited period, but Rovlid does not guarantee the duration, availability, completeness, or recoverability of that album. You should not treat Recently Deleted as a backup.

Clexta does not access, manage, or permanently delete items from Recently Deleted as a separate service. Recovery must be performed using Apple's available controls, if recovery remains possible.

14. Interruption, Recovery, and Outcome Verification

Deletion may be interrupted by app termination, device shutdown, permission changes, Apple Photos behavior, unavailable media, low resources, operating-system state, or other failures. Clexta may store local operation state and evidence to reconcile an interrupted attempt and avoid replaying a destructive action.

Clexta may report completed, partial, failed, cancelled, abandoned, unavailable, or other result classes. A partial or failed result means some selected items may remain. You must review the result and your Apple Photos library before taking further action.

Recovery features are designed to restore Clexta's internal operation state where possible; they do not guarantee restoration of media deleted by Apple Photos.

15. Storage Estimates and Results

Clexta may show estimated file sizes, selected bytes, potential savings, projected savings, or category totals. These figures are informational estimates and are not guarantees of actual device or iCloud storage recovered.

Actual results can differ because items may be unavailable, duplicated in other forms, synchronized, compressed, cached, retained by Apple in Recently Deleted, or treated differently by iOS. Storage reporting by iOS may update after a delay.

Clexta will not treat an estimate, preview, projection, selected total, or attempted deletion as an actual cleaned result. Actual result information depends on the completed platform outcome available to the app.

16. Free Features and Clexta Pro

Clexta may offer free functionality that includes browsing, viewing, reviewing, selecting, sorting, filtering, and inspecting eligible categories. The exact free feature set may change.

Clexta Pro is required for eligible production deletion functionality and may unlock other premium features disclosed in the app. A Pro entitlement does not guarantee that every media item is deletable or that every category will be available.

Current features and entitlements are determined by the purchase screen, App Store product information, and in-app state at the time of use. We may modify future feature packaging without reducing rights that mandatory law protects for an existing purchase.

17. Subscriptions and Trials

Clexta may offer auto-renewable weekly and annual subscriptions through Apple App Store. Prices, currencies, taxes, availability, and introductory offers may vary by storefront and are shown in the purchase flow.

A free trial is offered only when it is explicitly displayed in the Apple purchase flow and you are eligible under Apple's rules. A statement that a trial is available or ready does not mean a trial has begun. A trial begins only when the Apple transaction confirms it.

Unless cancelled, an auto-renewable subscription renews at the applicable price and period shown by Apple. The renewal, billing date, trial eligibility, and transaction are controlled by Apple.

18. Billing, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

Apple processes App Store payments. Rovlid does not receive your full payment-card number. You are responsible for reviewing the price, billing period, renewal terms, trial terms, taxes, and entitlements shown before confirming a purchase.

You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Clexta, resetting Local App Data, denying Photos permission, or stopping use of the Service does not cancel the subscription.

To avoid renewal, cancel within the period required by Apple before the renewal date. Access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid period unless Apple or mandatory law provides otherwise.

Refund eligibility and refund decisions for App Store purchases are generally administered by Apple under Apple's rules. Rovlid cannot guarantee or independently approve an Apple refund. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

19. Restore Purchases

Restore Purchases asks Apple and RevenueCat to re-evaluate eligible subscription access associated with your Apple purchase account. Restoration does not create a new purchase, restore Local App Data, recover deleted media, or automatically resume a prior deletion request.

A restore may fail or produce no entitlement when Apple cannot validate the purchase, the subscription has expired or been refunded, the user is signed into a different Apple Account, or another platform condition prevents restoration.

20. Delete My Data

The in-app Delete My Data control clears Clexta-owned Local App Data and returns the app to onboarding. It is a local reset, not an Apple Photos deletion command.

Delete My Data does not delete photos or videos, cancel a subscription, request an Apple refund, remove Apple transaction records, erase RevenueCat records that must be retained for subscription administration or law, or automatically delete support communications.

Privacy requests concerning personal data actually held by Rovlid may be sent to support@clexta.com. The Clexta Privacy Policy explains the process.

21. License

Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, Rovlid grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use Clexta on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's applicable usage rules.

This license does not transfer ownership of Clexta, its software, interfaces, algorithms, design, documentation, branding, or other intellectual property.

22. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Use Clexta unlawfully or in violation of another person's rights.
  • Access, review, or delete media that you are not authorized to manage.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, modify, or create derivative works from Clexta, except where applicable law prohibits the restriction.
  • Probe, test, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, subscription, entitlement, permission, confirmation, recovery, or anti-abuse controls.
  • Use bots, scripts, automation, scraping, bulk extraction, or other methods that overload or exploit Clexta or related services.
  • Manipulate transactions, restore state, anonymous identifiers, receipts, eligibility, or entitlement records.
  • Introduce malware, destructive code, or other material that harms the Service, a device, Apple, Rovlid, or another person.
  • Use Clexta for a commercial service bureau, managed deletion service, resale, rental, or distribution without written permission.

23. Intellectual Property

Clexta, Rovlid, product names, logos, software, interfaces, visual design, text, documentation, workflows, algorithms, and related materials are owned by Rovlid LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property and other laws.

Except for the license expressly granted in these Terms, no right, title, or interest is transferred to you. You retain ownership of your media and of rights you already hold in it.

24. Feedback

If you submit ideas, suggestions, proposals, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant Rovlid a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, commercialize, and otherwise exploit that feedback for any lawful purpose without compensation or attribution.

This section does not grant Rovlid a license to use your photo or video content for advertising or unrelated purposes.

25. Privacy

The Clexta Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. By using Clexta, you acknowledge that data may be processed as described in that Policy.

Clexta's core cleanup workflow is designed so that photo and video content ordinarily remains on your device. Subscription, support, website, security, and privacy-safe diagnostic processing may involve third parties as disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

26. Third-Party Services

Clexta relies on or interacts with Apple Photos, iOS, App Store billing, iCloud Photos, RevenueCat, and may use providers for website hosting, security, support, email, or diagnostics.

Third-party services are controlled by their providers and are subject to their own terms, privacy notices, availability, changes, and technical behavior. Rovlid is not responsible for a third-party service except to the extent required by law.

27. Updates and Availability

We may update Clexta and may require a current iOS version, app version, device capability, permission state, or subscription configuration. We do not guarantee support for every device, operating-system version, region, or media type.

Clexta may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or limited because of maintenance, bugs, Apple services, RevenueCat services, network conditions, operating-system behavior, security controls, legal requirements, or events outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the Service. Where mandatory law requires notice or remedies, we will provide them.

28. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEXTA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." ROVLID DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, AND OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, COMPATIBILITY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CLEXTA WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPLETELY SECURE; THAT A CATEGORY, GROUP, ESTIMATE, THUMBNAIL, OR RESULT WILL BE ACCURATE; THAT APPLE WILL DELETE, RETAIN, SYNCHRONIZE, OR RECOVER MEDIA IN A PARTICULAR WAY; OR THAT ANY AMOUNT OF STORAGE WILL BE RECOVERED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.

29. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROVLID LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MANAGERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, VENDORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR ENHANCED DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST BUSINESS, LOST GOODWILL, LOST DATA, LOSS OF MEDIA, DEVICE FAILURE, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR INABILITY TO RECOVER MEDIA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO CLEXTA OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROVLID'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO CLEXTA OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID THROUGH CLEXTA DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections.

30. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rovlid LLC and its officers, managers, members, employees, contractors, licensors, vendors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to your unlawful use of Clexta, your violation of these Terms, your violation of another person's rights, or media that you were not authorized to manage.

This section does not require indemnification to the extent prohibited by applicable consumer law.

31. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to paid or connected functionality if you violate these Terms; engage in fraud, abuse, entitlement manipulation, or unlawful conduct; create a security or technical risk; or if an app-store, payment, legal, or regulatory requirement requires action.

You may stop using Clexta at any time. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Rights and obligations that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including payment, ownership, feedback, disclaimer, liability, indemnification, dispute, and accrued-rights provisions.

32. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except to the extent mandatory law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. To the maximum extent permitted by law, unresolved disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction and venue.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you mandatory rights to use local law or local courts, those rights are not waived.

33. Apple App Store Additional Terms

  • These Terms are between you and Rovlid LLC, not Apple.
  • Apple is not responsible for Clexta or its content.
  • Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and applicable usage rules, including Family Sharing or volume-purchase rules where applicable.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Clexta.
  • To the extent a warranty exists and cannot be disclaimed, Apple is not responsible for it except as required by law.
  • Rovlid, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to Clexta or your possession or use of Clexta, including product-liability, legal-compliance, intellectual-property, and consumer-protection claims, except where law provides otherwise.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on a U.S. Government prohibited or restricted-party list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific terms against you.

34. Export Controls and Sanctions

You may not use, export, re-export, transfer, or provide Clexta in violation of applicable export-control, sanctions, or trade laws. You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so by applicable restrictions.

35. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, security, vendor, or business changes. The updated Terms will state a new effective date.

If a change is material, we may provide notice through Clexta, clexta.com, the App Store listing, or another reasonable method. Where law requires consent, the change will not bind you without the required consent. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using Clexta and cancel any active subscription through Apple before renewal.

36. General Terms

These Terms, the Clexta Privacy Policy, the purchase terms displayed by Apple, and any additional terms expressly presented for a feature constitute the entire agreement between you and Rovlid concerning Clexta.

If any provision is held unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; Rovlid may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction or by operation of law.

Headings are for convenience and do not limit interpretation. English is the controlling language of these Terms unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

37. Contact

Questions or notices concerning these Terms may be sent to support@clexta.com. Billing cancellations and refund requests for App Store purchases should generally be submitted through Apple's available subscription and refund channels.
